This is good news for people who want to make a charitable gift during their lifetime from their retirement assets, but have been discouraged from doing so because of the income tax penalty. Description
This is a Benton County park with partnerships that include the Tapteal Greenway. Take a left at the entrance and a right into the first parking lot and one of our kiosks awaits you near the restroom. Stop and learn about the park and the area and then get out and enjoy the surroundings. TGA recently teamed with Purple Sage Riders to begin a new trail that runs near the river. At this time the trail has been opened up to muscle powered access and runs about 2 miles. Plans are in the works for tree plantings and more trail improvements. There is also a very nice boat launch at the park that serves as a take out for our annual fall float trip. RV hook ups and a camping area are also available as well as showers and full restroom services. This is a popular take off point for horse back rides along the river or up into the hills along the Rattlesnake slope area. As the Tapteal Greenway trail extends north and west of Richland, Horn Rapids Park will serve as a crucial rest stop for those who wish to push on to the Benton city link.
