Sagebrush Seed Collection

Let’s get outside the day after Thanksgiving and collect sagebrush seeds to be used in local restoration projects. We’ll learn some of the basics of native seed collection including collecting etiquette and when and how to tell if seeds are ripe.

MEETING PLACE:
Parking lot of Amon Creek Elementary (18 Center Parkway, Richland, WA)
From there, we’ll walk 0.2 mi to the collection site.

Things to note: A majority of the collection site will be along uneven terrain with sections to collect along a paved road. Closed toe shoes, long pants and gloves are recommended. We will be outdoors for the duration of this event so dress for the weather!

What to Bring: Bring a 5 gallon bucket if you have one, we will have some to share.

This is a joint event with CBWNPS that will take place on property owned by Tapteal Greenway.
