Tapteal Water Trail Paddle

Our second Tapteal Water Trail paddling event of 2022 will be held on August 20 from Hyde Road to Bateman Island (ten miles).  This is a slow and relaxed part of the river with good wildlife viewing, especially birds.  Drop off your gear and any passengers at the Hyde Road boat launch (we will have someone there by 7:00am) and drive your vehicle to the Wye Park boat launch parking lot.  Shuttle vehicles will leave Wye Park at 7:30am to return drivers to Hyde Road for the 8:00am launch.  Estimated paddling time is three hours depending on river conditions.  Shuttle support will be provided but there are a limited number of seats so they must be reserved by contacting us at taptealgreenway@gmail.com.  Reservations for shuttle seats will be taken until 8:00pm on Thursday, August 18.  Tapteal Greenway does not rent or loan kayaks or paddleboards, but there are a couple of shops in town who do.
